Nick Knight has a piano in the loft where he lives. He is quite a good amateur player, though certainly not concert standard; and he often plays for his own entertainment. He keeps a pair of candlesticks on top of the piano, and these are usually lit.
In Night in Question, Nick did not lose his skill at playing, even when he had no memory of his own identity and nature. When Natalie Lambert brought him home from the hospital, he started to play Beethoven's Fur Elise: he could not recall its name; but he told Natalie that he remembered playing it for its composer, who was hard of hearing.
